| Robin Hill FAQ |
1) What time does the park open and close... and how much is it to get in?Please see the parks prices and times section by clicking here. 2) Are dogs allowed in the park?Yes as long as you keep them on a lead, and clear any mess up after them, (We do provide you with a free poop scoop). Please don’t bring them and leave them in a hot car though, this can lead to a police prosecution if reported. 3) How long would you expect a visit to the park to last? Most people can spend up to 4 to 5 hours at Robin Hill, usually longer. 4) What is the 7 day freedom ticket all about? With the UK in a major recession, we thought we would help stretch your pounds a little further by offering unlimited returns within a 7 day period. So now you can come back as many times as you want during the week (so long as we are open), all included in the price. This offers great value and could save visitors splashing out on visiting other attractions when now they can pop back here and use our attractions and facilities again and again. Terms and conditions apply of course (click here to download T’s & C’s pdf) and you will be expected to re-sign your entry tickets each time you come back and will be expected to prove your signature and printed name with a bank card or driving licence....but this really is a great offer for visitors this year. We are strict with our return conditions and will refuse entry if we believe you didn’t buy and sign the original ticket...or can’t prove it. 5) Can we use our Robin Hill freedom ticket to visit Blackgang Chine within the seven days?Unfortunately not! Your Robin Hill freedom ticket allows you to revisit Robin Hill only. Blackgang Chine has a similar offer to Robin Hill which provides similarly great value! HOWEVER...we don’t want to confuse you, but we are now selling a Joint Park ticket too...which you can use to go to either park, again with unlimited visits over 7 days. It’s the cheapest way to visit both parks during your holiday...but remember you have to purchase this ticket at your visit to the first park. We cannot upgrade single park tickets on your free return or if you turn up at Blackgang with Robin Hill only tickets and ask for an upgrade... sorry! 6) Tell us about your 4 person saver tickets?Any four people can enter Robin Hill for £37.50 or buy a joint park ticket (including Blackgang) for £66.50 which offers a saving for paying for four people individually. Remember under 4's don't pay and there are concessions for the disabled and O.A.P's. Our staff will always offer you the best price for entry into the park for you and your group. 7) Can we bring our own food and drink into Robin Hill?Of course! But we do have some very good food available in the park. Our squirrels feast café provides a good selection of homemade lunches, cakes and snacks. The Oasis cafe offers a delicious deli-style baguette menu. 8) Do we have to pay for anything once we're inside Robin Hill? The only thing that we charge extra for is our Toboggan Run which costs £1.50 per person per go. ...and of course food, drink and ice creams if you want them! We can't include the Toboggan Run in our ticket prices as we have to close it in damp and wet weather and visitors don't like paying for things they cannot use, sorry! All the other rides are free to use as often as you want to. However these may operate on alternate basis on quiet times of the year. 9) Is everything open on a wet day?The only things we have to close are our Toboggan Run and the Hillbilly & Snake Slides, because of health and safety laws. They need to be completely dry before they can re-open. The falconry displays may have to be cancelled on very windy or wet days, but the birds will still be on display. The rest of the park is open, and there are buildings containing attractions for shelter if it is raining hard...but we always recommend that you come on a nicer day of course to make the most of the countryside experience. 10) Are there any concessions for Islanders? We offer Islanders a special membership deal that can combined with Blackgang Chine, which allows an unlimited number of visits through-out the season, for a one off fee per person of £49.95, click here to know more about our Membership deal. (Link to Shop) There are vouchers for you to save money at the park during the season included in the membership deal. 11) What is the minimum age a child can enter Robin Hill on his or her own?You have to be at least 14 years old to enter the park unaccompanied by an adult. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any one we don't believe to be old enough, so bring some I.D (Passport, Birth Certificate) if you think you might need to. 12) Are there any restrictions on the rides at Robin Hill?We have strict health and safety laws that we have to abide by. Visitors have to be 1.1 meters tall to ride on our Time Machine and Colossus Boat. There is an 8 year old minimum age limit for our Toboggan Run, unless riding with an adult. The Cows Express ride is a gentle ride especially for younger children, but children must be 90cm or taller to ride by themselves, otherwise an adult must accompany them. 13) Help... we need directions to Robin Hill, what’s the best way?Never fear! We have a whole page of directional and travel information written especially for you... from whichever place you are trying to reach us, be it in a car or on a bus. Just click here to find the way! 14) I am disabled and need to find out about the park. Where can I find out more?We do a special guide for disabled visitors, where you will find out all you need to know. We don’t hire out wheel chairs or electric scooters I’m afraid, but there are lots of facilities that allow disabled visitors to enjoy their visit. Just click here to have a look. 15) I want to find out more about the Bestival at Robin Hill.Take a look at the Bestival on our events page where you will find all the links you need to buy your tickets and plan your trip. Robin Hill operates a local box office for I.W residents paying by cash or card while tickets are available, but we do not take payments over the telephone or send out tickets. 16) I lost an item of personal property while at the park when I visited. Can I find out if it’s been handed in?Yes...of course. Phone 01983 527352 ext 2 after 10am any day to ask us. Items of lost property may not be found until the following morning when our teams check the entire park on their rounds, so please don’t call before 10am or after 5pm when there is nobody here to take your enquiry. 17) Is there anything for my children who are 17 and 19 year’s old?The Island doesn’t cater very well for white knuckle ride-seeking teens at this age, but of all the Island attractions we are probably the best place you are going to get on this side of the Solent. Our three main rides are usually enough to keep most people quiet if they are after a thrill...and everyone loves our falconry displays.
