Frequently Asked Questions
1) What time does the park open and close?
We open everyday from 10am till 5pm, in the school summer holidays we are open until 6pm.
2) Are dogs allowed in the park?
Yes as long as you keep them on a lead, and clear any mess up after them, (We do provide you with a free poop scoop).
3) How long would you expect a visit to the park last?
Most people can spend up to 4 to 5 hours at Robin Hill, usually longer.
4) Can we use the free return to visit Blackgang Chine within the seven days?
Unfortunately not! The free return allows you to revisit Robin Hill only.
5) Tell us about your saver ticket?
Any four people can enter Robin Hill for £31.00 which offers a saving for paying for four people individually. Remember under 4's don't pay and there are concessions for the disabled an O.A.P's. Our staff will always offer you the best price for entry into the park for you and your group.
6) Can we bring our own food and drink into Robin Hill?
Of course! But we do have some very good food available in the park. Our squirrels feast café provides a good selection of homemade lunches, cakes and snacks. Our all day breakfast is legendary and famous across the Island for being the best!
7) Do we have to pay for anything once we're inside Robin Hill?
The only thing that we charge extra for is our Toboggan Run which costs £1.50 per person per go. We can't include it in our ticket prices as we have to close it in damp and wet weather and visitors don't like paying for things they can not use, sorry! All the other rides are free to use as often as you want to.
8) Is everything open on a wet day?
The only things we have to close are our Toboggan Run and the Hillbilly Slides, because of health and safety laws. They need to be completely dry before they can re-open.
9) Are there any concessions for Islanders?
We offer Islanders a special membership deal that can combined with Blackgang Chine, which allows an unlimited number of visits through-out the season, for a one off fee per person of £45, see our membership section for details.
10) What is the minimum age a child can enter Robin Hill on his or her own?
You have to be at least 14 years old to enter the park unaccompanied by an adult. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any one we don't believe to be enough, so bring son I.D (Passport, Birth Certificate only) if you think you might need to.
11) Are their any restrictions on the rides at Robin Hill?
We have strict health and safety laws that we have to abide by. Visitors have to be one meter to ride on our Time Machine and Colossus Boat. There is an 8 year old minimum age limit for our Toboggan Run, unless riding with an adult.
12) Where abouts on the Isle of Wight is Robin Hill?
You can view our location on Google Maps
13) The Toboggan used to cost £1 a go, why has it gone up ?
The price rise is the first for a whole 10 years, so its been getting better and better value as inflation has increased. Unfortunately the cost of maintaining the track gets higher every year as it gets older and it also has to have lots of staff to operate it. The cost of labour has increased dramatically in the last 3 or 4 years, which makes it the most expensive part of the park to operate. It also attracts a high proportion of insurance costs….so it was impossible to keep the price at a £1 for any longer, sorry.
